Yes, folks, we're going back to the roots, embracing the elegant simplicity of black tea combined with creamy milk and those delightful chewy bubbles. This drink is proof that sometimes, less really is more. Warning: these are as addictive as they are aesthetically pleasing so you may need to add a "bubble tea" category to your budget because this is going to be your new obsession.
1.5 tsp Basic Black Tea
1 packet of Brown Sugar Boba Pearls
6 ounces of water
Milk or creamer of your choice
1️⃣ Brew your black tea base
HOT BREW: Heat 6 oz water to 212 degrees F, brew 3 grams of black tea (1.5 teaspoons) for 3-5 minutes
COLD BREW: Using Chill filter, add 3 grams of black tea (1.5 teaspoons) to 6 oz of water, refrigerate for 4-6 hours
TIP: Brew your tea strong by using more tea for a better tasting boba!
2️⃣ Heat your boba pearls
Microwave: Cut the corner of the boba pearl packet & microwave for 25 seconds
Stovetop: Add boba pearls to boiling water for 90 seconds, drain
3️⃣ Assemble:
Add one boba pearl packet to the bottom of your glass
Add ice to brim of glass
Add 2 oz of milk or creamer of your choice
Add 6 oz of brewed tea
Optional: add your preferred sweetener (sugar, syrup, etc.)
Stir and sip! 🧋
Add a teaspoon of sweetened, condensed milk to the blend for a creamy texture
Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract for smooth flavor
