Yes! The BRUW filter is top-rack dishwasher safe.
The BRUW filter will work with any wide-mouth mason jar.
Sometimes the filter can get a little clogged. First, make sure you screwed it on with the straw-side-down. Then, make sure the straw is unobstructed. Finally, simply give the system a gentle tap or shake to get things moving again. Coffee does filter slightly slower than tea, please be patient!
It depends on what you're brewing! We recommend:
4-8 hours for Green + White Teas
8-12 hours for Black + Oolong Teas
18-24 hours for coarse ground coffees
The infusion process begins when you add coffee or tea to cold filtered water. Cold water makes the extraction process much slower and more selective. The flavors are extracted, but bitter compounds are left behind. This is why cold brew is far less acidic!
Cold brew is brewed as a concentrate, with a higher than normal coffee/tea-to-water ratio which leads to a higher caffeine concentration.
